Sorry Honey, I Don't Want to Help You Anymore... What the Heck is an Embodiment Mentor?

"I want to help people."

I can't tell you how many times I've heard those words over the years. I know how sincere they are because I used to say them too. They were born from compassion, from wanting to ease suffering, from believing that if I could just become wise enough, intuitive enough, gifted enough, perhaps I could make someone else's path a little less painful.

For a long time, I believed that was my work.

As a shaman, people often came hoping I could make the pain disappear, that I might somehow remove the thing they didn't yet know how to face. Through the Akashic Records, they wanted answers. Tell me my purpose. Tell me what to do. Give me permission. Reveal the missing piece that would finally make life feel easier to carry.

I understand the longing because I've known it myself.

But after sitting with thousands of people over the last twenty-five years, something inside me has quietly, lovingly changed.

I don't want to help you anymore.

Today I work as an embodiment mentor through private mentoring with spiritually mature women, coaches, therapists, healers, and seekers who have already experienced profound spiritual awakening but are ready to live those insights in their everyday lives. My work integrates the Akashic Records, the Divine Feminine Mysteries, and what I call Living Akasa, helping people embody what they already know instead of endlessly seeking the next answer.

The ascending passage to the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, illuminated by soft light, representing the journey from spiritual awakening into embodied living.
The long walk into the Kings Camber of the Great Pyramid.

At least, not in the way I once thought I did. I can point you to the chamber, baby. I can’t climb the stairs for you.

This realization is what eventually gave rise to my embodiment mentoring.

Because helping, when it asks someone to keep returning for permission, certainty, or rescue, can become another form of separation. It quietly teaches us that someone else holds the key to our life. That someone else can see more clearly than we can. That our power lives somewhere outside of us, waiting to be handed back by the right teacher, healer, coach, or guide.

I no longer believe that's true.

I believe helping is, ultimately, an inside job.

Of course we need one another. We need wise mirrors. Loving witnesses. People willing to sit beside us when life breaks our heart open. We need therapy. We need friendship. We need ceremony. We need mentors who have walked a little farther down the path.

I've devoted my life to being one of those people.

But none of us can live your life for you. None of us can embody your joy. None of us can choose to speak your truth.

There comes a moment on every spiritual path when collecting more wisdom is no longer the invitation. The retreats become beautiful memories. The ceremonies become treasured milestones. The books line the shelves. The certificates hang on the wall. The mystical experiences have come and gone.

And still...

You have to wake up on Wednesday morning.

You have to speak to your partner.

You have to answer the contractor's phone call.

You have to unclog the dang drain.

You have to decide whether the person looking back at you in the mirror is finally someone you're willing to trust.

That is where life is lived. That is where the sacred has always been waiting.

Andye Murphy, embodiment mentor and Akashic oracle, spending a quiet moment with her cat outdoors, reflecting the Living Akasa philosophy of living the sacred every day.

For years, I believed my role was to help people heal. Now I embrace that my deepest joy is something altogether different.

I love watching someone remember themselves.

I love seeing the moment when you stop asking me for permission and begin trusting the knowing that has been alive within you all along.

I love watching your nervous system soften enough for joy to become possible again.

I love witnessing the instant you stop trying to become another version of yourself and instead begin inhabiting the one who has been patiently waiting underneath all the striving.

A teacher once told me that if you wanted to serve someone well, you had to love them as deeply as you loved your own child.

That came naturally to me.

Perhaps that's why my whole body lights up when someone finally sees themselves. Not the polished version. Not the spiritual version. The real one. The one you've spent years trying to protect, improve, conceal, or earn.

Little ripples of delight move through me. I laugh. Sometimes I squeal.

Because there is nothing more beautiful than watching you come home to yourself.

Every wound you thought disqualified you becomes part of your medicine. Every heartbreak begins revealing its gold. Every strange twist in their life starts making a different kind of sense.

Not because the past changes. Because you do.

So no, precious love... I don't want to help you anymore. I want something infinitely more beautiful. I want to meet the part of you that has always known.

The part that no longer needs another person to carry your light, but is finally ready to embody it.

Because the world doesn't need more dependent seekers.

It needs women and men who have become so deeply at home within themselves that spirit is no longer something they visit.

It becomes the way you live. And when that happens, helping is no longer the point.

Living is.

If you're wondering whether you're living what you already know, The Embodiment Gap is a gentle place to begin.
